Changjing, formerly called Dongshun Town, is an ancient town located south of the Yangtze River. It has a long history ad a deep and rich culture and is a place propitious for giving birth to great men. It is one of the birthplaces of the Wu culture. It has been proved that it has a history of 7,000 years, with 5,000 years of civilization and 2,500 years of written records. The town has an area of 54 square kilometers and a population of 56,000 with 12 villages and 1 neighborhood committee under it.
Changjing Town falls under the jurisdiction of Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province and is located in the center of the economically developed Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou region in the Yangtze Delta, with the Yangtze River just to the north, Lake Taihu close to the south, enjoying very convenient transportation. Here, the four seasons are clearly demarcated, climate (monsoon and marine climate of the subtropical zone) pleasant, terrain plane and land fertile. The average temperature of the year is 20 ℃ and average humidity 67%.
